Your guide to activities and fun things to do with your preschoolers, toddlers and kids in Albuquerque, NM

Since I started gathering ideas for this week's list, I realized just how much children really like looking at their reflection, and I learned that if you're really observant, you can find it nearly everywhere and sometimes in the most unlikely places!

A Pool:  The city has many pools for you to choose from, but this time of year, you're probably only interested in the indoor ones! I know that West Mesa offers swim lessons during the off-season, and other pools may also.  It's worth a call to find out if you are interested.

An Elevator:  Ever look up while riding in an elevator?  You just may see yourself.  I don't know how many mirrored ceiling elevators that Albuquerque has, but I can guarantee that the main one at Cottonwood Mall (by the food court) as well as the one at Dillard's have this fun feature.

Mall Play Area:  Cottonwood Mall's play area has a mirror that's just perfect for your child to get a full body reflection.

At Explora:  Honestly, what can't you see at Explora?  Of course they have a fun mirror room that your child is sure to love.

In the Bathtub:  And no, I'm not talking about the bath water.  If your fixtures have the right finish, your child will get a fun view of himself.  My 18 month old thinks this is the coolest thing ever, so he showed his four year old brother, who gets a kick out of it as well.
